About the Speaker:
Glenda Teams-Edwards DTM (stands for Distinguished Toastmaster) has been working with Delaware North working at the Carolina Panthers Bank of America Stadium for 15 years, the first 4 years as a Suite Attendant and the past 11 years as a luxury suite supervisor. While working as suite attendant for the Bissell Companies, they hired her as an assistant property manager. At Bissell Companies, self-improvement and education were highly encouraged. Glenda became a Toastmaster eleven years ago, having joined Queen City Toastmasters in December 2005, and in 2007 Glenda co-founded Ballantyne Toastmasters, the 1st club in the Ballantyne Park. She is a native of Blowing Rock and founded the High Country Toastmasters in 2009.
In the last ten years, she has served in various district roles and currently serves as a member of the District 37 Trio as Program Quality Director and is the District Director Elect. Glenda is the VP of Education for People Growing Together in Salisbury and has just completed her 2nd DTM.
As the Program Quality Director, she enjoys assisting clubs and members not just in her club, area or division, but all across the state. When visiting clubs strong or struggling, Glenda loves to create excitement and give the necessary tools and encouragement to strengthen the clubs and keep them growing.
